That's really odd. I've only had three scooters wave back as opposed to hundreds of bike riders. Are you doing the low wave?

I had a guy on a Yamaha R6 and another guy on a Bonneville wave at me on my commute home a few days back. I think they realize you are facing many of the same hazards that they face. We are both rebelling against "the man", as they used to say back in the 60s.

Borrowed from another forum. Unless you can zoom more, you may have to right click and save image. It does offer some great reasons why various bike types don't wave...

I can't tell how much of this is body language and how much is just coincidence. My wife complained all the time that nobody waved to her on her Rebel yet when I get on it, and even the smaller bikes and scooters, most people on everything wave back. Maybe it's because she's thinking, "Gee, I hope they wave back" and my head is rumbling with, "Yeah, you're cool. Now wave back or I'll just laugh at you."

I was riding yesterday (2006 Sportster 1200 w/ Trike kit) I waved to a scooter & got snubbed! In other words , He didn't wave back! In the '60s , everyone waved no matter what they were riding , if it was a Harley or a Zundap. Irish:taunt:
P.S. I know-nothing stays the same but everyone waved! |
