Well my stator has fried completely so now I am having to pull the Balancer to replace it. So while im doing this I decided I would rewire the scoot once again. I moved every component possible close to the battery for a cleaner more streamline look.

I have a ruckus seat frame that I will soonly be adding to mine for (1.) a seat and (2.) a better tail light setup. May also run a different tank for a cleaner look.

Lookin' good!
|
shes gettin there lol its gonna be a lot of work...probably not even worth it to be honest
Ps- Thanks :scoot: |
Im having a very hard time getting this seat frame to look right , bout to GIVE UP lol
Its a pain because my frame doesnt stay straight at the back like a Ruckus , mine bends in,making it skinnier, throwing everything off and making the gas tank want to hit the frame as well... UGH!! |
Been messing with t he tank a little bit m0re. I installed the tank on the top side of the seat frame for more clearance and cut the back loop off for when I shorten it.

Man that seat frame looks alot better and more importantly will be nice and smooth when we go on some long road trips!

You're my hero meanmotofino! I'm trying to do the same. It seems like there's more to it than just welding new mounts. The stator plug is different than the qmb's. And the wheel hub is larger. Which means I need new rims that'll fit the bigger brakes and a new rectifier. But I have no clue which rectifier. Is there such a thing as 12" rims for the 150s bigger brakes or I must go up to 13"?
Did you change your rectifier and rims and reharness from the rectifier to the stator plug? |
You can run 12". If you dont need the rear brakes (like me) you can make a 10" work. I had to for awhile although I dont recommend it.
As far as wiring.. I just cut and spliced the wiring that come out of the motor to the existing 50cc wiring.. Worked fine for a while. That is until I shorted a wire out when I was welding the mounts in and it fried my stator lol BTW I have an 8 pole stator/4 wire voltage regulator. |
