Roketa 54B-250 temperature gauge problem

Hi all,

I got my Roketa 54B-250 (YY250T) with Honda engine 2 weeks ago and till now everything was looks good, but today i noticed that the temperature gauge drops to 0 as i accelerate and go back to normal as i stop.

Very strange problem.

Did anyone know what can be the problem or what can i do before I'm taking it to a repair ?

Thank you

Sounds like a loose wire connection to me.

Ok and now I found a coolant leak, don't know from where yet but looks from the top somwhere. Is that can be also related to the gauge problem ?

Could be, but I'm sticking with a loose wire.

Once you fix the leak, Make sure you get ALL the air out of the cooling system.

Thanks for the help !
here is the results :

Temperature indicator fixed, the wire was not tight enough (thank you scooterwayne )
I removed the floor of the scooter and found the leak from one of the coolant pipes, fixed that too. The indicated temperature is somehow lower than before, shows just between 1/2 and 1/4 seems. The fill cap is looks full. can be because of trapped air ? how to release the air from the system ?

Thank you

How I burp mine is, I take the radiator cap off and let it idle for about 10mins. Then add some antifreeze if needed.
[ Use the center stand when doing this.]
