April Fools!

Warning - This is an April Fools Joke. Proceed with Caution

Hey guys, just giving you a heads-up that we'll be switching to a "subscription-based" mebership here on the forum very shortly.

The forum has become very expensive to run & maintain, so this was inevitable, but I plan to keep the cost down as much as possible.

Basically you'll have to enter your PayPal info in your User CP, and you'll be invoiced at the end of every month for the time you've spent logged-in to the forum (the forum calculate your online time for the month). You can set PayPal up to automatically pay it.

I'm thinking it will be about $2.95 per hour, which I feel is very fair compared to what some other forums charge.

Anyway, I'll provide more info when we're ready. Should be implemented by mid-month, I hope.

Thanks for understanding!

And oh yea...

APRIL FOOL's! :D :taunt:

I think it should be $4.00 per hour myself.

i dont think this is a good idea

Hi Mike
Why not ask for donations to help with the upkeep
Thats how all the other forums im on do it
Then members that are on alot and wish to support the forum can and those that arent on much can still reap the benifites
I think the paid subscriptions will keep new members away and possibly drive old ones away seeing as theres so many other scooter forums that are free to participate in
And just to let you know i dont have a paypal account and wont as the one i had in the past was nothing but a nightmare so i for one would not be here if your plan is implemented
Take care dear friend
Yours Hank

Admin, Id have to agree with Hank.
Sometimes as much as I am on here, id need another job. lol
Though I have no problems with Paypal, and that would be a fine way to do it, I think it would run some off.

Maybe run advertisements down one side of the page?

Hi
Yeah i figured out that at 2.95 an hour i would be spending well over $300 per month to participate at the forum
That imho is unacceptable as i dont pay that much for my internet tv and cell phone combined per month
Take care and ride safely dear friend
Yours Hank

techie610 04-01-2014 06:41 PM

Yeah, it would be between $100 and $130 for me. Let alone the time I need to look something up or read a story.
Im sorry Admin, no disrespect, but id have to be out.
