Battery again!
 

I have Type 11 Diabetes. When I tested my blood this morning & my test strip was bad , I thought that this was going to be one of those days where everything goes wrong. I just pushed my bike out & the Battery is so bad that it won't even turn the instrument lights on! I knew that it was going to be one of those days! Now to remove the battery! My bike is a 2006 Sportster 1200 with a Trike kit. Removing the battery is like performing Heart Surgery. Luckily I have metric wrenches (sockets & box ends)( I had two shops when I lived up North) This isn't going to get the battery out! Time to get to work.:tdown:>: Irish:scoot::nuts:

There is something VERY wrong with needing metric wrenches on a Harley, Irish.
I won't add to your WTF list but I suspect you may be related to the Murphy's.

I'm pretty sure I am a blood relative myself.

Just about everything (automotive & cycles) is metric or 1/2 & 1/2 now. Before having my own shops , I worked at a Triumph Dealership. I therefore have Standard , Metric , British Standard , Whitworth wrenches. I also went to the East Coast Triumph Factory School (mechanics-A , Advanced Mechanics-A+) I also worked at Sikorsky Aircraft as an installation mechanic & flight mechanic for 6 yrs. I was also head mechanic & Foreman building Commercial fishing boats. So you can see why a good selection of wrenches was necessary.:hmm::shrug: Irish:scoot::nuts:
P.S. The '39 Harley Knucklehead that I rebuilt was all standard!

I know very few people that are into Triumphs. Even less that are into Triumphs, and Harleys/trikes. Less still into helicopters, and far fewer into boats as a topper.

There's a bell ringing, and it's not dinner time... Ps Witworth. Just when you thought you've seen everything. A fastener that nothing on earth can remove.
Let's just stick with triangular fasteners. (my personal favorite)

P.S. In N.H. (where I've been living) Triumphs are very popular! All that I've seen in Florida are 3 rice rocket type Triumphs! I ride a Trike because I have a game leg! It's either that or not ride. I sure do miss leaning tho! By Triumph , I mean the old twins.

Plan is to make it into a bad ass 750 (Morgo) bobber, and ride up, and down the east coast. My daughter lives in that bottom,west part of New Hampsters so I'll be blasting past your place about 3:00 Am with open pipes.
Just keep in mind it's a fellow scooterist, and throw a chicken at me instead of buck shot.
I can swear that I've talked to a fella that worked at Sikorsky, and on boats that also was into bikes... Hmmmmmm. :shrug:

I worked at Sikorsky from 1965-1971. I worked on boats (in New Hampshire) in (approx.) 1975. I have trouble with the dates because I'm almost 73 yrs old & I have short term memory loss.:lmao::no: Irish

When I pulled the old battery it had a Bennett Auto Supply sticker on it , so I called Bennett & they had one in stock. I got it & it's in & works. I called the Harley Dealer & they wanted $105. So much for that! :clap::tup: Irish:scoot::nuts:
