When I lived in Conn. There was a road that straight & people immediately marked off a 1/4 mile on it. It was the known street racing spot. A lot of money & a few titles were exchanged at that spot! It was behind the New Haven Airport. (Actually East Haven )

When a Harley rider says "scooter", they mean Sportster?
Great looking build. Would you do it again (Build from a bare frame)?

When I refer to my scoot, I'm talking about a Big-Twin... not a Sportster.

I've built a few bikes from the bare frame, some scratch built, some basket cases. I planned on this being my last build, but I like the looks of the new Daryl bike on the series The Walking Dead. Who knows, I may go straight into another build.

Anyplace that I lived before , all motorcycles were called "scooters" by the motorcycle crowd!:yay::clap: Irish:scoot::nuts:
P.S. By lived before , I mean Conn. & N.H. I was stationed in Texas but had nothing to do with cycles. (Not enough time!)

Milled and fitted Brembo calipers to front forks, dual-disc 11.8" brakes.

Nothing like a ride "way down upon the Suwannee". Great lookin cruiser.

06 April 2016: Afternoon rideout to Hillman Bridge (abandoned 1986) @ Ellaville, FL. (Ghost town... post office closed in 1942.)

The ride is looking GOOD! There are a few changes that I would make but it's not MY bike. You're building it for YOU & if it's the way that YOU want it , that's what matters. I don't think that most people realize the work & hrs. that it takes to build a bike! Irish

Thanks Irish... changes are in the works, next time it's on the lift. Getting in as many hours/miles as possible, really enjoying the ride.

In the build film , I noticed a box that said S&S on it. Is that an S&S engine? Irish

S&S V111 engine, Baker 5-speed transmission, Primo 3" belt-drive primary, KraftTech frame, and lots of used OEM Harley parts.

Philr_--- I don't know if they have any in your area but in Melbourne Fla there are Harley Strippers & Bike Strippers. They have many used parts. They work with E-Bay.Com. Sometimes the only thing wrong with the parts is something minor (ex-pitted chrome) You don't have to take the parts & you can barter on the price. I got a sissy bar &luggage rack for a GREAT price & the only thing wrong was pitted chrome that buffed right out. I think that they get wrecked Bikes & sell the good parts. It's worth checking out! They are on Wickham (SP?)St.in Melbourne!
