We need the buttons that control pic insertion, font, etc...

They are there you may need click go advanced...

They don't show up for me... I have an Imac I use Firefox with OSX 10.4.11 (older version).

Strange check your user cp at the top left and see if you haven't got them turned off for some reason.

User CP > EDIT OPTIONS > Bottom of the list.
