Any of the old folk here from back then? After 26,800 mi on it the key dropped out of ignition the first ride of the year today. Sooo. how generic are ignition switches? Never heard of some of the brands out now so what say you?

You mean the ignition barrel came apart? If so, you need to pull it out and see what color wires are on the back. Most places that sell parts will show the rear of the ignition switch so you can color match before ordering. Some places even include a new seat key barrel, so you can still use the same key to start the scoot and open the seat, that's if your scooter has the separate key for opening the seat.

As far as who to order from I have no idea anymore. Monster Scooter Parts list Tank and I've had good luck with them in the past.
