Exhaust Gaskets???

Does it make any performance or exhaust flow depending on type of gasket? Either round or flat gasket. Has anyone tried both an have any comments on which is better?

If your'e referring to the different style of exhaust gaskets (flat fiber style or the round metal one) if the scooter originally uses a metal round one that sits in a groove, use those. It wont matter performance wise what style you use as long as you use a gasket and it seals correctly. On our Zuma scooters we use the metal ones with the stock exhaust because they seal great and never leak. With most aftermarket exhaust we get stuck using fiber flat style ones. Just make sure the exhaust gasket you use doesn't block any exhaust flow. I've seen it happen before from a wrong size gasket being used.

New blood getting into scooters! Nice! I've drifted away from scooters. I ride a ebke now. My Piaggio Liberty gets ridden maybe once a week, and my 98 Zuma has officially been disassembled for a year now. I need to get off my tush and get it back together. What are you working on?
