Welcome to the forum. I live close to the beach too. The salt air is brutal on chrome mirrors.

Not with a Chinese scooter and a reasonable investment! (time and money)

Upgrade to a Japanese scooter, if you can.

Welcome from Chicago!

The only way that I found to solve the salt-air problem was to sand off the chrome & flat black it. It takes a lot of time but if done correctly , it looks real nice! I live in W.Melbourne & I would clean & polish my bike on one day & two days later it would be corroded again. I was spending more time cleaning then riding. If you do your exhaust , just get some header(high-heat) paint! Trust me-if you take your time , it comes out nice! Irish

P.S. It also lasts good!
