Tire Selection, input please

hi im looking into some performance tires for my scoot, im looking at the michellin S1 or the pirelli sl26... anybody run either of these and have any recomendations?

Either one of those tires will work well. Both companies produce high quality tires.

Thanks I just plan on upping my power soon and wanna make sure I have full traction through corners

Performance tires? On a 50cc? Only my opinion but it seems like the money could be spent better in other areas. But you're smart guy...maybe you already did this stuff. Replace the sparkplug? Replace the vacuum and fuel lines? Replace the battery?

Yes on spark plug had to get the ngk, haven't done fuel system yet, I'm probly gonna put a nice new carb on it and a better intake to start things off, not sure what jet size I need though? Not much small engine experience

And I need new rubbers cuz I need a new wheel anyways since it came bent

I look at it this way. Most 50cc scoots have 10 inch wheels like some 150s. You won't be making the same power on a 50 without some big bores and explosive mods. I put on the cheapest Cheng Shin tire I could find four years ago and it's almost worn out 5,300 miles later.

Speaking of bbk are they worth it? Or is there epic repercussions from it possibly?

How many HP did that spark plug get you? I'm surprised your current Lo-Po tires are still getting traction.

Ha they barely are, that's why I figure to replace them. The hongduo's are stiffer than a board no matter how much pressure I run in them, I'm not sure how much power increase it was noticeable but I'm not doing wheelies now or anything yet haha
