Sunny Powersports - A two car Funeral

Talk about a mistake.....

Last year I ordered a reverse trike from Sunny Powersports. Okay, I admit it, I was taken in by the novelty. Sure was a show stopper. Everybody ooh and awwed over it. But nobody bought it ! Finally sold it last fall. Of course it's now back in the shop...and has been here for 5 weeks!!!
It has a defective micro switch that controls the cdi when it is in the locked position.
I have called numerous times to Sunny/ScooterDepot...bitched, moaned and complained.
Still can't get them to send me the switch. I've even offered to pay for it!
I keep getting shuttled off to various people and departments. Each one promises me they'll send it right out.
I mean these people could "eff-up a two car funeral". And I'm a dealer. I can only imagine what a retail customer must go through.

I am a firm believer in the wisdom of Teddy Roosevelt "Speak softly and carry a big stick" ;)

The first thing I tell potential customers that I can get "the same scooter" at Sunny for less money is to Google the name "Sunny Sports" and "complaints" then get back to me. Once they do that they usually realize that the scooters only look the same and also that it does make a difference "where" you buy your scoot.

Ice Bear use to sell the reverse trikes and got them from Sunny Sports. They quit selling them due to issues with the machines and not being able to get warranty parts. Now if a Distributor can't get parts from another Distributor, what makes you think a Dealer can?

When potenial customers tell me the can buy from Company X for less, I tell them the the same thing that John does, do your homework and research Company X on the net before you buy. We do pride ourselves in service before and after the sale.

Bought my scoot from Scooterdepot. When it came the windshield was missing and front fender cracked. Took me 3 months of phone calls and emails before I was able to get the parts.
Not the scoot in the photo. It's a Jonway from Countyimports.

Update... the part finally arrived. Installed on the scoot and delivered this morning...phew...

Maybe you should have ordered an extra micro switch? (just in case.)

When I called Superiorpowersports for a replacement back support pillow for the BMS260, they had none in stock. They said they didn't carry those things, eventhough the sales person said they'd carry replacement parts.
I also asked for different color handlebars for the passenger, also got a 'NO' from them.

First, they lure you into buying the bike. They even tell you to 'tell your mechanic they carry parts', and when finally I ask for parts, they don't have them.
I sold the bike, and got myself another one!

If you ever decide to go with a Chinese brand (larger) bike again, give the folks at Puma a call.

all of those online companies that sell sunny, and sunny themselves are garbage, hundreds of bbb complaints, they get their money and thats all they care about, they dont honor warranties and they are stupid overpriced

Yep, you got that right. Stick to the guys that sell the ZNEN scooters. They are a better quality scoot to start with. Also, as far as I know all of us who sell them have a good reputation for taking care of any warranty issues. When we do not have a particular scooter somebody wants we always refer them to the guys at Bintelli and Gorilla.

Puma is now defunct which does not surprise me. Pretty sure they were Chinese owned because I often heard dealers complain that they would honor warranties. Unfortunately some of our friends from China still have not figured out the American business model. They sold their ZNENs awfully cheap compared to what we had to sell ours to our dealers for and that left very little for them to be able to support the product afterwards.
