Tomos Nitro 50 Transmission

I have a 2011 Tomos Nitro 50. I stored it for winter in a shed. Mice may have gotten in it. There was either transmission fluid or oil that had leaked from the scooter. I changed the oil and I changed the transmission fluid. Scooter starts fine but as soon as I give it gas, it just makes a squel and the back tire does not turn. Also, I am not sure if it is holding transmission fluid as a lot of it has leaked out the overflow valve. Can someone give me next troubleshooting steps ?

Maybe you need to get your hands dirty and start taking off some things for a inspection. Not being rude but that would be the best option.

ok, thanks

so , should I take off the AVT case cover where the belt is ?

Start by taking off the CVT cover. There should be no oil in there

Thank you , kindly. Well, it turns out there was a huge mouse nest inside the AVT area.
I mean mouse hair and mud everywhere. The belt looks like it started to break and that was probably the sound I was hearing. I guess I am going to take all that apart and clean it with WD 40. Now, they must have gotten in there through what looks like a plastic tube. where does that plastic tube come from ?

"Well, there's ur problem, lady" just an old saying. I'm wondering what engine that is, the starter ring gear is on the front pulley side. The plastic tube would be for fresh air to cool the insides of the belt and clutch cover, where doe it go? I don't know there ought to be a big connection for it some where if nothing is missing. Was there a nest in the air cleaner assembly also? I'd clean that mess out out with compressed air or a stiff dry brush and soapy water, and let it dry good. WD 40 is good for some things but not this. The back clutch bell should turn the back tire when you are done cleaning things and vice versa. Better check out the wiring, mice will gnaw on anything they can. A cat might be a good investment.

ok, got it. - thanks

The air filter was fine - nothing in there. And apparently all the other wires and stuff look ok. But, mouse stuff is very hard to get off. It is stuck hard inside the pulley. I probably should have just bought a new pulley assembly, but I already got this far. The spring that is on the AVT cover next to a
"half gear looking thing" looks like it might be beat up a bit. not sure if I should worry about that.
