Hiya and welcome! If you decide to go with the 150 just do a thorough pdi to catch any of the little "icky-pickys" that might catch you. http://x1scooters.com/pdi.html

Welcome and with any chinese scooter if properly cared for and maintain, you should not have much trouble. The TaoTao have become very popular here lately mainly because of the cheaper prices and decent quality. Where are you getting the scooter from?

here is a review of the evo 150 http://www.scootdawg.net/showthread.php?p=518394

wow you guys are great =] umm the scooter can come from multiple places. all via online. I've never sat on a scooter before in my entire life, and i just got my motorcycle permit... but i really want this particular scooter. according to everyone that replied, it isnt half bad :D

I'd recommend the Powermax 150. Less nice looking, but I presume it's going to be easier on maintenance than the EVO150.

There are not many dealers that want to work on chinese scooters. So my suggestion is to either get a complex scooter with dealer support (meaning maintenance, repairs, etc),
or get a cheap, easy, simple scoot that you can work on yourself.

If you get a complex bike, with lots of extra options, a lot can go wrong, and repairs generally are more of a pain.
