Eaton Beamer spark issues...HELP!

I recently purchased an Eaton Beamer scooter.
It had been sitting,a while, when I got it.
At firdt,it had a strange habit of starting right up,but dying after a secon,or two.
So I did the usual fuel system replacement.
New lines and filter, cleaned the tank and replaced fuel valve.
I also did a carb rebuild.
I dissasembled the top end and inspected...all good.
I reassembled it and YEEHAW! She ran like a champ!
Great throttle response, good power and close to 50mph top speed.
Then,yeaterday,she wouldnt start.
After some investigation,I found there was NO spark.
Ive checked every component, except the stator.
Any advice?

You checked all the grounds and connections, tightened them up, disconnected and reconnected all the plugs? If you have already I believe there is a test for the stator... A simple one may be to try and turn it over and see if the headlight flickers assuming it is off when the key is on... Someone else will know more

I found a disconnected wire in the stator cluster.
I repaired it and,miracle of miracles...it started!
My elatiob was short lived,as it died in a feq seconds, just like it did when I first brought it home.
Now the best I can get is one or two seconds of run time, after which it stops.
It doesn't idle down and stall as you would expect from a fuel restriction issue.
Insread,ut simply shuts down,as though a switch had been thrown.
I'm considering re-wiring the whole scoot.
Any advice?

I forgot to mention this scoot is a 50cc 2stroke.
DUH.
sorry
