Kymco not starting by takes a jump
My Kymco 150 will not start on its own.
When I attach a jump start battery it starts right up. I've also tested the battery, which is fine. When I remove the jump start battery and try to start up again i get nothing. Is it the starter or the solenoid? Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks Berl |
How did you test the battery? When you say it's not starting, do you mean it's spinning but won't fire or it doesn't do anything at all? If it's starting with another battery connected I would check the connections at the battery. Maybe they're not tight or corroded somehow.

Thanks so much for the reply, kz.
I removed the battery cover and tested the battery using my battery tester. It tests as fully charged. The connections to the battery are solid. No corrosion whatsoever. The scooter is pretty new. Only a few hundred miles on the odometer. I tested the battery after letting scooter run stationary for about 15 minutes. I disconnected the jumper battery then did the test. It tested as having a strong charge. I just tested the battery after letting it sit overnight and the needle jumps but not into the green section. The horn works but very anemic. I get no sound when trying to turn the engine. I'm quite sure it will start again if do another jump, as this worked several times yesterday. |
