hard starting

I have a new scooter .since I got it its been hard starting until its warmed up.it has a ngk br7 plug gaped at 25.once its started it runs on the choke and when warmed up the idle drops so the choke is working.it only has 20 miles on it but it was like this when it was dropped off.2t 50cc jonway.should I gap it at 33 or 35?

Gap it to 25!

But before you do that adjust your valves to .004 intake and .005 exhaust.

Valve adjustment on a 2t? lol.

Have you tried a larger pilot jet?

Sorry missed the 2t part. Still gap your plug to25.

Have you cleaned the carb? 2ts are especially sensitive to dirty jets as they have smaller pilots (idle) jets.

And new does not mean you don't have to clean the carb. My Roman 150 came with a clogged up idle jet straight from the factory.
