new rings/piston install
 

Hey scooter enthusiasts, problem here. I'm putting a new piston in my gy6 and need to know the ring orentation. as in which combustion ring goes in top groove, which side of ring is towards combustion chamber. one combustion ring is satin black, the other is shiny. Which ring goes in the top groove? On one side of the two combustion rings there is an inscription:

Does the letter(s) go towards the combustion chamber or towards the crankcase? Thanks dawgs!

Letters up , shiny ring on top.

Letters up, and usually one ring is thicker than the other. Thick ring in the larger groove, thin one in the thinner groove. Stagger the gaps on the intake side of the piston.
