Battery dead

I have gas and oil in it and im trying to figure out how to check the spark, does it matter if the battery is dead? Iv been trying to kick start it

Hey guys im rather new to scooters and i have a problem
So i have an e ton beamer matrix (2stroke) and it won't start.
It worked fine before but one day i started it up and i was letting it idol...
