LEDs are know to flicker when not running directly off the battery. Perhaps the bulb is defective since its doing more than just flickering. I would use a halogen headlight.

30 weight oils have had to eliminate much of the protective qualities oils had due to emissions and cat converters. This is why most people run 1040 or 1540 since they still have the good stuff....

Perhaps you are confused. The long one piece jet is the pilot and the other is the main. It is short and threds into a longer brass fitting. You should see flat edges for a wrench and a slot on top...

The wires are correct. Green is ground. You could get a voltmeter to check the voltage while running to see if its charging. The stock battery was junk anyway and walmarts probably not far behind....
