I have that problem with mine straight out of the box. Had the exhaust bracket welded at first, but it broke again right next to the weld. Had a whole new exhaust shipped under warranty and it broke...

Well thanks that worked. I got it apart and everything looks normal except it looks like the belt rubs on the bottom of the cover and this bracket that I'm not sure of.

How many miles are on it? You mentioned you hadn't changed the plug out yet. If your using a standard non-Iridium plug, it needs to be at least CLEANED (preferably replaced) about every thousand...

Can't speak for all states but in Florida, if it has more than one speed and has to be shifted it is NOT a Scooter, no matter what it looks like or the engine size. This may be true in other states...
