I'm wanting it for a 12-mile commute to work....

I'm wanting it for a 12-mile commute to work. It's about 55 for 2 miles and then 35 the other 10 miles. Should I be good?

What parts should I have on hand?

I'm getting a TaoTao Quantum (Titian150). It has a GY6 I believe. I know it's a Chinese Scooter and may not be as reliable as a Honda, Yamaha, Etc. But that's what in my price range and don't mind...
