I honestly need to be reminded every time about how a helmet is improving safety.
I do wear gloves and goggles, but no helmet most of the time on my scoot.
Never had an accident, never hope to ever have one!
And if I do have one, hope it's a minor one (like falling off the scoot from a stand still or something)

BTW, this reminds me of a free game they have on an android tablet, of a motorcycle rider riding on the road, zigzagging between slower cars, gaining speed every time he/she has a close call with a truck or car or object, until at a certain point in the game you gain 160MPH, and hitting something is bound to happen.
When it finally does happen, the rider often flies in the sky, slides over the road for several seconds, rolls over the road, and sometimes gets ran over by a truck.
Then the injury count comes, usually between $100k and $500k on hospital costs, and you're ready to roll again!
In real life, not so, but in the game it is..
