Yes, but only if the spark is yellowish if the spark is BLUEISH then it is fine. But you can always try a new plug won't hurt and it might help.

Check the Slider in the carb take the air tube off an see if you can see the Slide down. Maybe when the accident happened it jammed the Slider in the open position and that would let a lot of fuel in.
