The carb SHOULD be set to 2 and 1/2 turns off of seat. So to make sure SEAT the mixture screw (turn all the way CLOCKWISE but DO NOT TIGHTEN!!!) then turn the screw out 2 and 1/2 turns. PLACE BIKE ON CENTER STAND AND THEN START BIKE. Then turn the screw 1/8 turn at a time COUNTERCLOCKWISE until you get HIGHEST RPMS, then turn the screw 1/4 turn CLOCKWISE and LEAVE IT. That should be proper AIR-FUEL RATIO.
Then adjust the IDLE SCREW (screw on throttle, text to throttle cable) until the RPMS are as HIGH AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT TURNING THE REAR WHEEL.

i did the 2 1/2 turns like you said before installing it but how do i get to the mixture screw now that its in the bike?
