I guess so. It actually started when I was looking for a velomobile and they are usually based on a tadpole trike. It evolved to electric assisted velomobiles and then onto scooter based trikes.
A reverse trike with a steering wheel (vice handle bar) can give the driver the sensation of an open wheel race car.
