It's not too difficult to make your scoot accelerate faster with cvt and engine mods.
It is much more difficult to increase your top speed, as tpryde1 said.
You will need to increase your final drive ratio in most cases.
That is hard to do on a CVT. Its easier on a motorcycle with a chain.
