That is exactly why i decided to change the gears as original gear combo did not go any faster.Also went down to a 835x20x30 belt.
I also tried to install stock clutch and bell.It was worse. Only thing I have not tried is installing yellow cluth spring 1500rpm. But then theoretically it will shift earlier.Dont think it will make much of a difference
