Welcome to the forum. I always thought the Kikker chopper kits were a good business idea. The idea of receiving a motor bike in 3 boxes and assembling it your self just sounded too cool. In fact, I was a member on the Kikker forum for a while. I never bought one.
-surface rust is just a fact of life when you live near the salt water. Even when you have a garage. I have to remember to keep an oily rag in my tool boxes or my tools will rust beyond usefulness.
