derestricting a 2011 taotao 50

I just got a taotao 50 for my girlfriend and would appreciate any info on derestricting it thanx jt

Figured I'd point you in the right direction if you haven't already been there but youtube will 100% give you the answer for this. TaoTaos have a lot of information and videos available on them. Some google searches and youtube will get it done. If you have any mechanics you can trust near you that work on these it would be easier to just have them do it if you are not too mechanically inclined.

Yup, You Tube will show you how. One thing I always point out, DO NOT use a impact gun to reinstall the variator nut! You will see people do it on You Tube, thats their call. I have seen the end of the crank snap off from a impact gun.

For me the biggest difference with the 50cc was the cheap big bore kit. 60 bucks and a couple of hours and you get something like a 60% increase in cc's. Then a decent air cleaner, and a noisy exhaust. Oh yeah you get a orange coil/wire/CDI with it and some new weights, a 90 jet, gaskets, rollers and rocker arms with the big bore kit.
