Silly question (maybe)
I know where most CDIs are on a scooter but the one on my buddy 50 seems to elude me. Any help here? I sound like a noob. Pics might help too

My father (deceased ) once told me that theres no such thing as a silly (stupid) question. The only way that you find the answer is to ask. That's all of the advice for today.

Easiest way to find the CDI is to trace the stator wires back.
In 90% of these bikes the CDI is located under the seat bucket. Remove a few screws, pull out that bucket, and it is most likely there in a rubber cradle hanging from the top frame loop. |

It's under the front cover. Follow the wires from the starter switch to the CDI.
If you had put your question in the title of your post, I would have responded sooner. ![]()
