I just bought a 72cc kit for my minarelli and a pipe.the mechanic putting it in says hes put in quite a few and never put in a bigger carb just bigger main.to me more ccs means more fuel and air.whats some opinions please.im sure he can get it running better but will it have its full performance

Yep, all you need is a slightly larger jet. A 72cc JOG can use a jet as large as a #110, depending on altitude. My 50cc is using a #90 atm.

The 1e40 airbox is a great design, and does not need mods to accommodate a bigger main jet.

mine had a 68 and ran great stock where im at 2000 ft sea level so he is going to try a 75 first.im keeping the stock airbox cause everyone says they run fine with them and the minarelli doesn't like uni filters

A bigger carb would help the power but a bigger piston means more intake velocity, which means more air, usually a re-jet is a good way to go
