How To Remove the Front Steering Stem Lower Bearing Race?
Hello All:
I have a 2007 LB150T-12, SUNL ADVENTURE 150cc with 10,500 miles on it. The handlebar began to get sticky in the straight-ahead position. Upon disassembly I discovered that the steering stem lower headset bearing race is worn & needs to be replaced. Any suggestions on how to remove the race? Thanks in advance. |

Some can be pounded out from the top using a long drift catching the upper lip of the bottom race.

Remove fork, turn upside-down, mount in vice, smack race off with drift.
if the RUN is damaged, stick drift into the headtube and catch lip and smack away until it pops out. These are exactly the same kind of bearings and races and runs used in bicycles. |

Thanks folks:
I ended up prying it out with the help of a bearing seal puller hook & a rubber mallet.
