????????
Can anyone give me any information on a Road Warrior 250cc? I just relocated & purchased one & have heard nothing good about them. Granted , most of the naysayers seem to not be very astute but being new to the area I don't know who to believe! I have dealt with "Bike" people since I started riding at 15yrs old. I'm now 70 & have found that I've learned more from the people that offer the least advice. Thanks. Irish

In my experience they are garbage, which sucks to say because im an icebear only dealership. I have worked on them, over and over and see the same problems. Even though the parts are very easy to find and inexpensive they are a new model and really need some work. Just keep a close eye on your oil. Ive had 2 blow up because of low oil, with no signs of dripping or burning.

Thanks!
Thanks for the input. As far as oil & everything , I usually try to keep up with most things on a ride. Besides riding since 15 yrs , I also owned Two motorcycle repair & customizing shops in NH. I have found that with cycles or with just about anything , preventative maintenance is the most important thing. I mostly rode "chopped" Triumphs before so Trikes are fairly new to me! Thanks again,Irish

Road Warrior!
To anyone interested , I traded the Road Warrior for a 1200cc Sportster Trike!
I think that the Road Warrior had many mechanical problems that I'm getting to the age , that I don't want to screw with anymore! Plus I couldn't get used to the lack of power that I'm used to.It was fine around the retirement village that we live in but on the main roads , it was horrible. I'm 70 now & have been riding since I was 15 & I have avoided more accidents with power than with brakes or lack of power & this Trike has plenty of power! Just because it's there doesn't mean that you have to use it , but it's nice to know it's there! This may b the "old" way of thinking but it's MY way! It's sort of like "You can't teach an old dog new tricks!" I also don't believe that! Irish
P.S. The Sportster is a 1976. The Road Warrior was a 2014, but I just want to customize. Not fix everything that was wrong to start with! |
