Slowing it down
I ride a large scoot (Kymco Xciting 500). Recently I joined a group of scooterists for a much slower trip than I'm used to. Want to know the funny thing? I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than I do the fast(er) rides I normally take. Who knew.

A lot of guys aren't having fun unless they are travelling at freeway speed.
I just enjoy riding without a cage.

I too, find it more enjoyable to motor along at a slower pace. Even on my 1200cc bikes, I stay away for inter-states....much prefer the county roads. Last Sunday evening the wife and I took a 33 mile ride on one of the BMW's (picture of both in my album)....never got into high gear...never exceeded 40 mph....just a nice leisurely, country ride....and isn't that a perfect way to end the day?....To us it is

My boss has a Harley Super Glide but he avoids the freeways and rides back roads.
