I'm not sure if Italika and Italica are the same thing -- Italicas are very popular in Florida, but they just seem to be a rebrand of generic Chinese scoots. My 50cc "Italica Grace" is a Znen machine. I've had it for close to a year and it has yet to fail me. Bought it used.
I just ordered a brand new Italica Bulldog 150 (Honda Navi clone) from the dealer who sold me the used 50cc. |

I have been around Chinese scooters for about 15 years. The difference between my 2008 scooter and 2021 scooter are pretty good. My 2008 never let me down but some aspects of it were pretty cheap. The 2021 is a much more solid build with many nice features for maintaining it. It took me the better part of a half hour to reach the engine on the 2008. Less than five minutes on the 2021. Pieces of the emission controls that were plastic on the 2008 are aluminum on the 2021. With the new 168.9cc engine in the 2021 long rides at 55 mph are a cinch.
Znen is a giant company and now owns Moto Morini Motorcycles. They don't build junk.
