Hello from Virginia Beach, VA
Hi everyone! I am Steve, I've been working on scooters now for about 8 years in a hobbyist capacity and am planning on opening my own scooter shop soon. I am currently in tech school in NC learning the manual machining and CNC machining trade, after which I plan to move back to VB and work in a machine shop while I build up my scooter shop. I am an open book when it comes to working on scooters and am happy to provide any advice I can.
My current daily driver bike is a 205cc 4 valve GY6-powered Honda Met-Ruck converted to run EFI. So far I have about 2k miles on her since the build and she is running great. I am happy to give recommendations on performance parts, specifically for the GY6 or Honda Met/Ruckus platforms as those are the ones I have worked with the most. I hope to meet some riding buds on here and just want to help do my part to improve the scoot community in general! Welcome! I may have crossed paths with you, then again Im no longer really active in the scooter community. I just sold my Harbor Freight full motorcycle lift to make space for a MX5 Miata. Lets hope for high gas prices! That helps with more scooters on the road and in need of service/repair!

Good thinking, sc00ter! If you come across someone else selling a motorcycle lift I definitely need one. If nothing else ill end up with one of the flat-plane bottle jack style ones to start with, I am trying to keep my operation to only the absolute necessities at first to save $$ for the important stuff!

Will keep my ear to the ground. The lift got a half-down hold deposit while the guy is finding service bay space. It was weird because when it was listed, nothing-dead silence. As soon as he put his hold deposit down (we know a bunch of the same people in the motorcycle industry) my phone rang non stop. Weird market for motorcycle lifts. Right now Im trying to dump one of those "sheet of plywood" tow behind trailer kits. I've hauled many mopeds, scooters and motorcycles on it. Also considering selling my 98 Zuma. I have a ebicycle now that I really enjoy riding.

I have a sale pending on the Zuma. All 2001 and lower Zuma's are vertical 2 strokes. Have tons of tuning potential, just look up Scooter Swap Shop. The 1998 Zuma I sold is mint - condition. Never crashed. Bone stock. No faded plastics or decals (black w/purple-yellow decals). Has Corbin seat, mint stock seat included. Everything works as it should. Rebuilt headset and all moving parts. New Reggae tires, battery, drive belt and SHAD trunk. Also threw in a new Yasuni Z, clear air box, intake kit and service manual. Took $600 and will include delivery. Been cleaning the garage out. Scrap man got 2 motors, some scooter frames and other metal parts. Sorry you missed out on the 98 Zuma.
