Mountain Crawl Ride or CON?
http://www.mnnthbx.com/events.html
I've have only made 2 rides down to North Carolina, of the 9 total CON rides. I usually leave a day early, as I like to pick my way down staying off the superslabs, and getting to ride yesterdays highways that the superslabs users have abandoned. This year the CON ride going to be in Winston-Salem area June 9,10,11,12th. Last week or so Mnnthbx, announced their 2nd Mountain Crawl in Townsend TN, is on the same weekend. I have wanted to ride the Tail Of The Dragon forever now. They had over 400 riders last year, all speeds are set for the 50 cc, sized scooters. There are some cool videos over at TotalRuckus, in the Rides and Meets, then under the Dixie heading, then to 2015 Mountain Crawl thread. I'm still fence sitting between CON or MC, but MC is starting to take a lead for my ride this year. Many truck their scooters down there, but I need to ride down to it, then back home. It's only 555 miles from my house to get there. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Conference of Noise mostly a Ruckus thing. All rides are set up to ride roads for the Ruck speeds. The first one was in Denver 07. The last few have been in North Carolina. I see now (this AM) CON may change it's date as some want to ride the Crawl.

Ruckus
I've got a son that's deep in the ruckus scene. He runs a shop in Orlando. Those guys rode the crawl, said it was good times. They have gone to events nationwide as well as Hawii.
The modded ruckus will cruise above 60 mph. Last edited by Maddog; 02-17-2016 at 09:07 PM. |

I have never ridden the "Tail of the Dragon". It probably wouldn't benefit me that much because I have A Trike & couldn't enjoy the curves that much. I have a few friends with two-wheelers that have ridden it & they say that it is great! One of them even went back a 2cd time. I'm not trying to influence you but I thought that I'd pass on what people said. Irish

CON is now from June 1st to the 5th in Winston Salem NC. They changed the date so it would not conflict. No motel has been picked yet for it.

Good info and nice for camaraderie.
Is there any Road Ralleys or endurance ralleys for scooters anywhere in the USA? Are there any test tracks in any state specifically for scooters? Or does anyone know of a listing for them? |

There are a few listed here. That one in Albany looks like fun, well organized, and only 320 miles to ride up to. Maybe 6 hours of threading my way up, on the lessor used roads, and staying away from the super slabs. Amerivespa 2016 scooter rally will be in Memphis, TN on June 23 – 26, 2016 like them or not, they have been doing it for 24 years now. And, a bucket list place I'd love to ride around for a week or 2. http://www.scooterdirectory.co.uk/20...cooter-events/ As you look around, we have so many great riding areas, and so few organized rides. Seems a bit sad really.
