Petcock ignorance.

How exactly does the in tank Petcock mount up? I was doing my short case to long case swap and bumped the Petcock and it started leaking. Turns out the previous owner used jb weld to sloppily mount it to the tank. There is just a hole where it was..

Can't seem to get a picture on here either...

petcock

They mostly look like this if its mounted into the tank. They screw on from the bottom and open with vacuum. Then gravity does the rest.

They broke the part that it screws on to, it's just a hole.

I'm gonna have it welded, real weld. New Petcock is on the way, which is vacuum and which is the fuel on they Petcock? I assume the bottom is fuel right? Pretty sure that's right.

Anyone know?
Is the short one fuel? And long vacuum, or the other way around.
