Neverendng School Shootings
Hi Guys and Gals. Today, there was another one. In the Parkland, Coral Springs, South Florida area...God Bless the victims and their families and the fortunate surviving kids as well. They have the suspect in custody. He tried to blend in with the kids when they were evacuating, but they found him a few blocks away. This is an ongoing horror that will NOT seem to go away!

When I was in high school in the 1970s, a lot of guys had guns in their trunk at school. However, we shot deer, rabbits and squirrels; not people.

Morality seems to cycle up and down over decades in the US. We were a decadent society in the 20s but leaned more toward morality in the 30s. Reverse it for 1950s and 1960s. Seems like that anyway.
I have my own ideas about preventing school shootings, but the subject is too emotionally charged for me to discuss on line. -In the 1880s, bank robbers were menacing western towns with impunity. Then, the telegraph arrived in the west. Descriptions of the robbers could be sent to nearby towns quickly via telegraph, making it easier for the Marshalls to capture them. The bank robberies became a thing of the past. -I don't think there are any such inventions on the horizon that will prevent school shootings. I think the solutions will be multi-faceted, and will infringe on peoples privacy and rights.

Changing the subject slightly. Does anyone know what the rules are on firearms in Florida. I have MANY different firearms that I had for hunting in NH that were never registered in Fla. I would like to sell (privately or to a gun shop) the rifles that I have no use for in Fla. I walk with a cane now so walking over hunting grounds would be a giant pain! Ex.-Browning Stainless Stalker in 306 w/ 18 Power Scope. I don't want any trouble about not registering in Fla. I just hate to see good firearms go to waste & get ruined by just sitting around. I had a concealed carry permit in NH but I want to keep my handguns. Hunting isn't as prevalent in Fla as it was in NH. I gave one lever action to one of my SIL that still lives in NH! Irish
