Over $10,000 for a 155cc scooter?

Nobody accused Vespas of being cheap.

Nice scooter and all, but $10,000.00 for bragging rights? No Thanks I'll keep riding my crappy 8 year old ugly duckling.

Well get this. Go to a search engine and put in "2014 Vespa 946 Wheel Troubles". This show piece has issues with corrosion of the back wheels. Ten Grand for a scooter with a problem that bogus. Nice.

For ten grand, I could buy a new KLR 650 AND a new Genuine Buddy 125 and still have money left over for beer. What else can ten grand buy?
-You could get a Harley Street or Sporster 883 with lots of accessories.
-Ducati Monster.
-Three Honda Groms (His. hers and mother-in-law).
-A nicely restored Harley Topper Scooter.
-Two nicely restored Cushman scooters
-His and Hers Honda CBR 250s.
-A Ninja 250 and a trip to Rome.
You get the idea.

For $10K at current $3.5/gal. for regular gas, I could get 2857.1428 gallons and at 70mi/gal. economy, I could go about 200,000 miles.... Now THAT'S a lot of riding. But maybe actually a bit less than that...... got to get tires, oil, air filters, spark plugs and drive belts too dontchya know.

Even if you are a die hard Vespa zealot, You could get two Vespa S150s for the price of a 946.

So I guess I made a big mistake...in the past 3 years I've purchased 2 BMW's and my wonderful little scoot.....should have passed on all 3 of those bikes....come up with a few hundred dollars more, and bought a 150cc Vespa....Wow...what a dope I must be...Bob
