Wow..Flashback! I miss Paul Harveys' Commentaries..learned a lot from him while growing up. We would gather around our cheap AM/FM radio...complete with the ever famous...Aluminum foil hanging on the antennae for better reception. Aluminum foil on radio and TV antenna's was a standard feature for everyone in the early 70's... So now...you young folks... Now you know..the rest of the story! This is Paul Harvey..Good day..

Even though I am just 22, I remember listening to him. But I will always remember that line.

I'm Blueboy5000 as that's my stage name when playing blues. I've been playing harmonica for 35 years and am rather devoted to blues. The "5000" is simply because it's "2000" greater than "3000".
Plus almost everything I own is blue, such as all of my clothes. A Bluesman is only allowed to wear blue, black, white and grey.

Here's some Little Walter, who I was told to listen to by an anonymous old black man after a gig at Black Eyed Sally's, who told me I reminded him of this guy's style. Imagine my surprise when I heard Little Walter using my own style of decolletage (mouth and sinus technique) as I had never heard him before.

Well, duh, I knew that , and that name just didn't connect. I like some of the Marvel Comics, but have not caught up since everything seems to rebooting... The Punisher is pretty good....

Mine comes from my ultralight aviation days. A couple friends and I built 3 ultralight trikes that we used for giving flight instruction. I don't remember who it was that called us the 3 banditos, but I ended up in the second position. (bandito2) Kind of miss flying. Gave it up after 9/11/01 because the FAA made rule changes that were inconvenient for me, It was too far for me to go to give instruction after I had moved and that interfered with my main regular job. Interesting thing is that I had sold my Honda Helix to get an engine for my flying machine. After I sold the plane I pretty much got right back into scoots.

Houndguy
Basically it comes from a couple of things. I have always owned dogs for one thing.
I used to do match reports for a soccer team called the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (www.riverhounds.com)...also known as the "Hounds". I was also told i worked like a dog (and probably smelled like one) several times. Houndguy fit.

I try to do things cheap.
Not quite a skinflint, and not quite a miser, in the middle where cheap lives at. If I can fix or do a thing I do it. If I can not, I'll pay to have it fixed, done properly. As a young man I wanted a Toyota Tundra, why??? I've not idea. In 2000 I was able to buy a demo for a really good price......yep, still driving it, with 79,500 miles on it. I'll consider selling it @ 125,00 miles or so, whatever year that will be. I live in Chicago for 5 years, and LOVED reading Mike Royko!! Last edited by cheapeto; 02-07-2014 at 08:36 AM.
