What the hell is going on here? 50cc taotao

I can't for the life of me figure out what this sound is and why it happens as the engine warms up. It is tough to Kickstart, but it does start up. Once I get it going, it's pretty much one or two kicks to start it. Then it starts a horrible squeaking noise and typically shuts off, or the idle lowers severely. I think I have everything lined up correctly, I'm not sure what's going on here.

I have tried several different valve clearances and none of them seem to stop that noise or the seizing or stalling of the engine. I'm not sure what's going on here. Going forward, no more Chinese scooters. Fuck them.
