A mis-adjusted or dirty carb. I know you took the carb apart and it didn't "look dirty", but there is obviously a problem. Of you disassemble the carb, and clean it with carburetor cleaner, you will see the problem.

What you are describing sounds like a clogged main jet, but could be any number of things. There's just no way to speculate. The only way to find out is to disassemble the carb.

No don't do that. The best thing to do is to clean it with carb cleaner. Soaking it in gas will make resin deposits.

I find brake cleaner to help also. It seems to come out with slightly more pressure. I agree, it sounds like the main jet. In addition to the carb/brake cleaner, go through every little hole with a small pin or piano wire.

Still could be the auto-enricher/auto choke, if you have one. They're about $10 so if after everything else, it's worth taking a chance.

The enricher is not the problem if it still does the same thing when you remove it.

At this point, I would get a new carb.

He said he unplugged it, but if the enricher itself isn't completely blocked off, it could still cause issues.

That said, I agree with you. Carbs are pretty inexpensive and at this point it's probably not worth the aggravation to keep farting with it.

Hi....I would adjust the valves and then adjust the idle. Low compression will cause a host of probs.

Put it back together today. Nothing helped. It acts as if it gets way to much gas for low rpm runs great when it clears up almost sounds like a miss
