Legal or not?

Are blue led strips legal? a friend tells me they are not.

Depends on the state.
As far as I know, if they are under the bike and not flashing, theyre good.

In Central NY they are illegal as you have them mounted.

But not when they are used for under vehicle ground affects and DON"T flash on/off.

It would be a good idea to give your state when asking a question like that! In Ar. if you have blue visible you get busted. They get real serious when they think you are a pretend cop with blue.

Call your local Police Dept and ask them, what the blue light law is in your town.

If you want to bug a few of them why not mount up some blue driveway reflectors. It would be a good test. Bet they would be flashing to beat heck if mounted to the spokes of the wheels as some bicycles do.....and no light source used. Myself, I prefer not to attract the attention of the law.

For example in SC only cops can have blue lights . I have seen LEDs and neons that had a blueish tint
