05 baron 150 ideas
Ok so I think this scooter is goofy looking. No offense to anyone who likes it the way it is but it's not me. I wanna take all the plastic off it. Basically strip it down. Sorta like a ruckus. Is it possible? Anyone done it before? It's the first scooter I've ever seen with a roof lol. Thoughts suggestions?
Also I need to repair the brakes. The right one doesn't work and the left one sorta works. ALSO I don't think it's charging the battery so I need to figure that out too.

I think that scooter is cool as H E double L! I'd get down on that thing. As stated on your newbie post you have me looking for one now. But if you don't like it then that's all that matters. But me, I would ride it roof, windscreen, and busted plastic! Character baby! Character! Just get it reliable. I've had all of my plastic off of my Tao Tao doing upgrades. And it no ways shape or form looks as neat as a Ruckus. A Ruckus just has that naked look designed into it. Like a TL1000, Ducati, or a Superhawk 996 with the half fairings. They just look natural half naked. But you do that to an R6, Gixer, or any other bike designed with full fairings and it looks goofy unless you do a lot of work to it. Just my opinion, not intending to start an argument.

Well, you do have me looking for one now.
I can't think of a more perfect solution to our extra humid mornings where it's so thick it's like drizzle. My wife says thanks a lot! HAHA |

You know what's funny it may seem silly but even BMW has a design like it. I could imagine how practical it is. Bad weather and rain and you still want or have to ride? No problem.

I am with those who like it like it is. If I found something like that I would definitely keep it. But it is your ride and I support almost any mod that does not make it unsafe.
The left brake is the rear brake. I checked the specs and it has hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. I would make sure the fluid is filled in both brakes, then see if the caliper opens and closes when you squeeze the handles, then check the pads. It looks like a fun ride. Finaljudgement |

I filled the right one. It was dry with sludge. So it looks like I need a new master cylinder. The left one works but it seems like it hardly works. It's full of fluid also.

Question. How much is this thing worth? 4300km on the clock. Maybe I can sell it and get another scooter that I want instead of chopping up this one.

That's a cool scooter man. I haven't had any luck finding used ones around. Shoot, for free I'd park it in my garage and let it sit next to the pool table as a conversation piece with my vet buddies. It's funny that I used to be perched in a Duece laughing at folks for driving these things in foreign countries with 5 or 6 people hanging off of them and now I'm riding one. I'm even looking at trailers, sidecars, and now a scooter with a roof and windshield wiper just to get a grin from people! I may even get a scooter with a roof and windshield, with a sidecar, with the trailer. Of course I'd probably need a Hayabusa power plant to move it all. And as far as the cracked plastics.......Rubbin is racin baby! You may kick yourself once it's gone. But I'm not too far from Tulsa. Load the wife up in the RV and go get me a scooter with a windshield wiper. If you're interested.

Well I just may sell it to ya lol. I gotta get the title changed over in my name first. I've only had it a few days. It's got some tinkering left to do on it but it runs good. I had it up to 45 today (GPS verified the speedo is way off lol) I'm not sure how fast it will go.
