A country Boy can survive..
A country Boy can survive...lol. Got a 'new Scoot' for some work I did for a guy that is a dealer for them. It is a 2008 Jonway Sunny. It has been sitting untouched in his warehouse because it would run correctly out of the crate...so he was gonna use it as a parts bike..but left it sitting there. Found out it was ok..just had a bent and burned valve due to the flyhweel timing marks being stamped WAY off! New valves ground..lapped and installed an it purrs like a Kitten! But even with the original MCO Michigan DMV won't let me register it because they say being 6 years old and never being registered it is not considered 'new' and will cost me $500.00 for a Surety Bond to make sure it is not stolen..when all they gotta do is run the VIN..but they won't..

Hey that's great that you got the deal on the scooter. It's crazy what the government tries to charge people. I like the John Deere logo and paint job you did, nice! Can't wait to see it finished Carasdad.

I paid a bit over $100 in Texas for a surety bond to register a 1960 Honda Super 90. I guess surety bonds are a bargain in TX,
The John Deere paint looks great. John Deere is a great American success story. He lost everything a few times and was on the run from creditors before he became successful.

Just keep going back to different DMV locations. Eventually you will find someone that isn't a dumbass and will register it for you.

It might help if you "create" a bill of sale.
