Newb from Cincy with scoot in FL
Hey all. I have been visiting FL quite a bit recently and where I visit the speed limits are mostly 30-35mph. So being a major motorcycle rider ( I ride throughout winter in Cincinnati) and wanting something cheap and something I won't get in too much trouble with before I get a bike down here, I decided to get a cheap Ruckus knockoff. Stretched GY6, 150cc ruckus knockoff. Since I do all my own work on my 8 current motorcycles, a little scooter I could tinker with sounded like a great idea.
Only had it about 2 days so far and have noticed a few quirks, but nothing major, and it is def fun to ride. My quirks so far are, speedo is inaccurate, plan to just GPS it. Front fender doesn't seem to fit right and over large bumps, the tire would bang into it, even when I made sure it was tight. So off with the fender. And last, most annoying is an annoying vibration through the bars at speed. Almost like the wheel is hopping which I am thinking is the cheap stock knobby China tire. It hasn't seemed to have affected handling at all, just really annoying. So not sure if I will live with it or replace yet. I have definitely ridden more jank motorcycles that have tried to kill me more. Other than that, I am liking it. Anyone any suggestions on things I should change or look into? |
