No surprise that a middleweight adventure bike will out perform a maxi scoot. However, the maxi scoot is great for riders that never got the hang of the clutch or that have health issues that prevent them from swinging a leg over the saddle. When I went to the Lone Star Rally on Galveston Island, there were quite a few gals on maxi scoots.

Wheelbender6-----You're correct! I just paid up the a!! to have special pegs for my feet put on my bike because I have (as you call it) that Health Issue that prevented me from getting my leg over the seat. I had everything done at a shop that makes things. It was expensive but they did a very professional looking job! I'll throw them a plug--Tempest Cycles. They are on Babcock St. in Palm Bay. I don't usually plug anyone but I just picked up my bike & I am awed at the work. Irish

Yeah. Just think of how many people you know that have had hip replacements or just have a bad back. Takes the fun out of hiking a leg over the saddle.
