Best place to part shop online?

Hello all I am new to the forums. I Am working on fixing up and old roketa bali mc-13-150. I was wondering is anyone could point me in the direction of where to purchase the parts. The manufacture website (http://www.roketa.com/product/produc...D=0&proID=2621) Has all the parts I need but i am not sure if it is my best option. I am mainly looking for an exhaust assembly and the wiring harness, and inboard cover. Any advice would be great. Thank you all and i look forward to being part of the community.

the manufacturer will guarantee correct part fitment, but many times you can get aftermarket parts that are identical and in some cases better quality. When you know what you want, use places like Amazon and ebay to help identify, then shop specialists.

Don't know if you will buy enough parts regularly but some well funded importers have true wholesale programs, that require min $$ orders to get free shipping. eg: I buy high quality GY6 rollers & clutch springs for about $7 a set, 50cc gates belts are about $12

There is only one parts specialist I have found that you need to avoid as they send out wrong parts and previously installed parts. Also be aware that some parts specialist "sell from an empty cart" IOW they have no inventory, and only order after you order.

As to wiring harnesses, it is always best to properly repair the harness in the vehicle, plus its less work.

Body panels, buy those from the maker when possible. They fit right and are usually not excessively high priced if local.

I'm not sure where you are located but here in W.Melbourne Florida there is a place called Bike Strippers (also Harley Strippers). You can get USED parts from them. Some have minor defects (pitted chrome , etc) but you have the right of refusal. I don't know if they have scooter parts , possibly just motorcycles. Irish
P.S. Just a thought. Anything to save $!

I've bought from all sorts of places and I find it to be somewhat hit-or-miss with regard to quality, I have always found http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/ to carry most of the parts I need at reasonable prices.

For my first scooter (a Geeley 50cc), http://www.scootdawg.net/forumdisplay.php?f=59 was also very good.

Here in MN, there is a local place I go to as well if I REALLY need something now and I don't mind buying used/refurbished.
